1-Year-Old Boy Run Over and Killed

A 1-year-old boy was killed in Texas Tuesday after being hit by a car.

Without the parents knowing, the young child found his way into the front yard. The boy was on the driveway when a visitor began pulling their car out and Giovanni Perez was hit by the front right tire.

Medical crews rushed the child to a local hospital, where he was unable to survive his injuries. He was pronounced dead Tuesday afternoon.

Police are conducting a full investigation into the fatal accident. An autopsy is being scheduled.

Charges relating to the incident have not yet been filed.
