11 Injured in Mississippi River Boating Accident
13 people were involved in a boating accident in the Mississippi River in Red Wing, Minnesota which resulted in moderate injuries.
The 13 people were traveling at bout 50 miles per hour on a 45-foot performance boat when the driver attempted a sharp turn. The boat struck a wake and all 13 occupants were tossed into the river.
Responding emergency crews managed to rescue the 11 adults and two children, 5 and 10 years of age, out of the river.
Eleven of the occupants were transported to hospitals with moderate injuries.
