12-year-old Girl Hit by Car

A 12-year-old girl was injured Wednesday when a vehicle hit her while she was crossing a street.

New York officials are saying that the young girl was trying to cross the street when traffic was heading towards her. The driver claimed that a truck obstructed his view and was not able to see the crosswalk.

Medical crews arrived on the scene and rushed the little girl to Strong Memorial Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

According to the police, the driver of the vehicle will not be facing any charges for the accident.
