14-year-old Girl Killed by Amtrak Train in Baltimore
A 14-year-old girl was killed Tuesday after being hit by an Amtrak train traveling between New York and Washington.
When the accident occurred in Maryland, medical crews and the Baltimore County police arrived on the scene. The unidentified young girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
While police investigated the scene all trains traveling through Essex, Maryland were stopped.
A full investigation is being conducted to discover the undetermined factors involved in the fatal accident.
There were 123 passengers aboard the train at the time of the accident. There were no other injuries reported.
