16 Children Injured in School Bus Accident
About 16 school children were injured in a multiple vehicle accident, including two school buses, in northwest Washington Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at around 1:45 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of 1st Street and New York Avenue in northwest Washington, according to D.C. fire department spokesman Ken Crosswhite.
According to Crosswhite, around 16 children that were occupants of the buses suffered non-life-threatening injuries and are under evaluation.
No further details regarding the accident have been released. The accident is being investigated by authorities.
