2 Accidents leave 1 Dead & 1 Critically Injured

Two accidents Thursday morning left one man injured and another victim dead in Kansas.

Calvin Maddox, 22, was driving his moped when he went through a red light and crashed into the side of a car.

Medical crews rushed him to a local hospital for treatment for critical injuries. He has been reported to still be in the ICU.

In another unfortunate accident, near Mt. Vernon, 51-year-old Patrick O’Connor Lost control and went off the road. He hit a construction sign, a light pole, another sign, went into a ditch and was stopped by a tree and iron fence.

Connor was unable to survive the fatal injuries he sustained.

Police are continuing to investigate the accidents.
