2 Injured by Power Line
A semi-truck driver who crashed into a power pole Tuesday has been cited by the police.
A power line fell as a result of the accident, near the Minnesota state fair grounds. The line ended up hitting and injuring 32-year-old Spencer Jackson and 26-year-old Brady Berger.
Jackson was taken to a hospital for injuries that kept him overnight. He had been sitting in a chair below while directing cars into a parking lot.
Berger was struck and shocked by the power line causing injuries to him as well.
Trent Wade Johnson was driving the semi and was ticketed by police for inattentive driving.
Power outages at the fair occurred until later that afternoon.
