5-Year-Old Recovering After Run Over By Bus

A 5-year-old boy suffered serious injuries when he was run over by a school bus in south Minneapolis two weeks ago.

After the accident Gabriel Greiling was in critical condition at HCMC suffering from pelvic fractures, a bruised heart, organ damage and loss of blood. Now Greiling is expected home in just a few days after a remarkable recovery.

On February 25 Greiling slipped and fell on a patch of ice, landing under the wheels of the school bus that then ran over him.

Greiling’s mother, Samantha Schultz, was with Gabriel when the accident occurred. She calls his recovery “a miracle for sure.”

According to doctors, Greiling will require physical therapy and use a wheelchair for a short time, but should fully recover.
