7 Injured in Plant Explosions

Seven employees at a Kentucky plant were injured Monday when three separate explosions occurred.

The authorities believe that water falling onto molten metal at the Special Metals Corporation plant could have been cause for the explosions.

Medical crews arrived on the scene and five of the seven employees to a local hospital to receive treatment for burns and respiratory problems. Ten other employees were mostly affected by eye irritation, but were able to be treated at the site.

There is a full investigation being conducted by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA).
