7 Restaurant Employees Injured from Hot Grease

Seven workers were injured Sunday after a fryer let off an explosion of hot grease at a Wisconsin restaurant.

The cover on a chicken fryer at Luigi’s Pizza Kitchen and Restaurant in Kenosha flew off after the grease inside had reached cooking temperature, thus causing the grease to spray across the kitchen.

Five of the seven employees that were injured from the spray were rushed to the local hospitals to be treated for their burns. The other two were treated by an emergency medical services crew, but declined further treatment.
