8-year-old Killed when Pinned under John Deere Gator

An 8-year-old boy was killed Saturday after getting pinned under a John Deere Gator.

Grant J. Thostenson was driving the small vehicle when he lost control and it rolled, causing him to get stuck under it.

One of Thostenson’s family members and a farm employee rushed over to the unconscious boy to help. They attempted to revive the young boy along with the police after they arrived.

Medical crews rushed him to a hospital for treatment, where he was unable to survive his injuries.

The boy’s seatbelt was not buckled at the time of the accident, according to police.
