Accidents in Lubbock Result in Two Deaths

A Sunday night motorcycle-truck crash west of Lubbock, Texas leaves a Levelland motorcyclist in critical condition at the University Medical Center.

Joe Knox, 58, was riding with a group of motorcycles, when he crashed into a pickup, shortly after 8 p.m. The woman driving the pick-up, Becca Jean Pike, 59, remained uninjured in the accident. The accident is still under investigation by DPS.

Another man is also recovering at UMC, after a fatal accident in Lubbock on Saturday night. John Garner, 24, remains listed in serious condition after his vehicle was struck head-on by a second vehicle on West 4th Street. The second vehicle, driven by Tiffany Summers, 20, of Andrews, crossed over the center line, swerving into oncoming traffic. Summers was pronounced dead at the scene at the accident.
