Alcohol a Factor in Fatal Pedestrian Accident
Alcohol played a factor in a fatal pedestrian accident in Tucson, Arizona Wednesday night.
Michael J. Maes, 28, of Tucson, stepped onto the roadway in the area of south 12th Ave. and W. Canada St. when he was struck by a passing vehicle around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. No charges have been filed.
Tucson Police confirmed that Maes was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
