Alpine Man Dies After Car Crash
An elderly man was killed in a two-vehicle accident in Alpine, California Monday morning.
Robert Francis Brunswick, 85, of Alpine, was pulling out of a business on Alpine Boulevard, near Bay Meadows Drive, in his Saturn sedan when was hit on the driver’s side by a eastbound Ford Mustang, said a California Highway Patrol spokesman.
Brunswick was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and was pronounced dead in a nearby parking lot while waiting for transportation, officials stated.
The 40-year-old driver of the Mustang was transported to a hospital with complaints of back pain.
It is not believed that alcohol or drugs were contributing factors to the accident.
