Arizona Woman Killed in “T-Bone Collision”
A woman died early Tuesday morning after suffering from injuries in result of a Monday accident at Avenue 3-1/2E and 32nd Street in Yuma, Arizona, said police.
Harrington was a passenger in a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Megan N. Kilgore, 25, when it made a left turn into southbound lane of Avenue 3-1/2E and collided with a 1993 Jeep Wrangler at 1:43 p.m. Monday. The Wrangler was driven by Estella Lopez De Thomure, 49, and was traveling east on 32nd street when the two vehicles collided in a “T-bone collision,” according to police. All of the people involved in the accident were from Yuma.
Sheila Jane Harrington, 49, of Yuma, was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center for life-threatening injuries Monday and later flown to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Phoenix, where she died.
Kilgore and Lopez De Thomure were taken to YRMC for what were described as injuries that were not life-threatening.
