Attempted Hit and Run Leaves 3 Boys Critically Injured

Three Pennsylvania kids were injured Tuesday when an out of control driver attempted to swerve around traffic and crashed into them.

The unidentified Lansdowne woman, 42, was going round traffic with her Dodge Charger when she struck two seventh grade boys. Leaving the boys on the ground bleeding, the woman attempted to flee the scene when she hit and launched 13-year-old Jemel Brunswick into the air. The woman came to a final stop after running into a station wagon.

Medical crews rushed the boys to local hospitals to receive treatment for their life-threatening injuries. One of the seventh grade boys, 12-year-old Philmon Beyene, was reported to be in a coma and on a respirator. The other, 12-year-old Tyler Lowry, as well as Brunswick were in critical condition.

Police have the driver in custody and as the investigation is still being conducted her charges remain pending.
