Bicyclist Killed in Dallas Traffic Accident
A 66-year-old man was killed after a bicycle accident near Cockrell Hill in Texas.
Neil Russell Murphy, 66, of Dallas, was riding blue Western Flyer bike in the 1200 block of North Cockrell Hill Road when he was struck from behind by a 1992 four-door Chevrolet around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Dallas police.
Murphy, who had been wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead Thursday.
The 57-year-old Lake Dallas driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene. No arrest has been made and no charges have been filed.
The accident is under investigation.
