Brooklyn Woman Killed on Sidewalk by Minivan

A New York former school teacher was killed Tuesday when a van ran up a sidewalk and hit her.

The 87-year-old victim Edith Shaller was standing on a Brooklyn sidewalk when a van was hit by a Lexus, causing it to jump the curb and crash into the woman.

Police are conducting an investigation into the fatal accident. As of now, no charges have been filed.
