California Construction Worker Run Over By Tractor
A construction worker suffered fatal injuries when he was crushed by a two-ton dirt grader Wednesday morning in California.
The man was identified as 50-year-old Gregory Moore, of Stockton.
Moore, an employee of Bay City Construction, was working with a team to rebuild Highway 99 near Atwater when he was knocked down and then run over by a tractor after he had bent down to pick up some debris. Moore was run over by the tractor’s three tires and lost feeling in his feet immediately, said Cal Fire Battalion Chief Ed Banks
Moore was pronounced dead at a hospital in Modesto, according to Merced County Sheriff’s spokesman Tom MacKenzie.
The accident occurred at about 9:45 a.m. Wednesday.
