California Man Killed in Rollover Accident

A California man was killed late Friday night in a one-vehicle roll over accident on Interstate 280 near Los Altos Hills.

George Luis Bastidas, 26, of San Mateo, was traveling northbound on Interstate 280 when his vehicle drove off the road just south of Alpine Road. The vehicle overturned multiple times, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Bastidas and a 24-year-old female passenger, who were not wearing seatbelts, were ejected from the vehicle.

The female passenger was taken to an area hospital suffering serious injuries. Bastidas was killed in the accident, which occurred at about 11:25 p.m. Friday.

Bastidas was identified by the Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office Monday.
The accident is under investigation.
