Car Hits and Kills Mother, Son Injured

An accident in Florida Wednesday morning left one woman dead and a boy seriously injured.

A mother was walking down a neighborhood street with her son towards a bus stop. As they reached a crosswalk and were about to cross, a car struck them down.

Police and medical crews arrived on the scene to find the woman dead. The young boy was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. He was reportedly listed to be in stable condition.

Officials questioned the driver of the vehicle. Charges against the driver have not yet been filed.

The Land O’ Lakes Police are continuing to investigate the fatal accident.

The names of those involved have not yet been given.
