The United Express plane departed outside of Washington at Dulles airport and arrived closed to midnight, according to the Transportation Security Administration and the police.

The lawsuit filed by 36-year-old Ginger McGuire, of Michigan, is claiming infliction of emotional distress, negligence and false imprisonment.

United Airlines is investigating the incident and its cause.

A cleaning crew discovered the woman four hours after landing, but locked the door when they left. McGuire was later questioned regarding terrorism by Federal officials.

Four other children were hospitalized, but three have been released.

In Vancouver, the Fletch Family Daycare, has since been shut down and will remain so until the bacteria is controlled.

It is possible that the failure of employees to properly wash their hands after changing diapers or toilet use could have caused it to spread.

There is an ongoing investigation into the cause of the outbreak.

A 7-year-old Tennessee boy was alone for almost 10 hours on a bus after falling asleep while everyone else got off.

Semajay Woodward fell asleep on the bus after being picked up at his Nashville home. The bus driver and the monitor failed to notice the boy.

After dropping off all of the students at a local school the driver drove the bus home then left to work at a second job. The boy remained alone on the bus for about 10 hours before the driver came back to go get the kids when school was out.

The mother of the 7-year-old claimed that the driver allegedly told the boy to not tell what had happened to him then gave him some food.

The school district immediately fired the monitor and the bus driver.

The two boys apparently thought that the marks would look “cool.” The teen scorched a key ring, fork, cross, crucifix, and a heart-shaped cookie cutter in order to tattoo his friend. The session lasted for numerous hours on Sept. 19-20 and there were burned imprints on the boy’s shoulder, chest, and arms.

Enraged and disturbed, the boy’s parents called the police. The teen is now facing charges filed by a Uniontown Barracks Trooper James Pierce for one count of illegal tattooing and body piercing.

A construction worker for RPM Construction was fatally crushed on site at the Microsoft campus in Redmond, Washington Thursday morning.

The man, in his mid-30s, sustained immense head injuries when thousands of pounds of rebar toppled onto him in the 9:45 a.m. accident at the Microsoft campus, located at 4480 154th Place Northeast, according to Jim Bove, Redmond police spokesman.

The man had been attempted to set a rebar form, which had just been released from a crane, into concrete when it fell onto him, stated Bove.
“The crane operator is devastated,” Bove said. “He witnessed the whole thing.”

Other workers performed CPR on the victim but he was pronounced dead at the accident site. His name has not been released.

All work at the site has been stopped while the death is investigated by investigators from the State Department of Labor and Industries, who were at the scene this morning as is standard procedure any time a person is killed on the job, said L&I spokeswoman Elaine Fischer.

“Our role is to assess what happened and determine whether the workplace-safety regulations were being followed,” Fischer said.

Six masonry workers were injured in a construction accident at a Johnson County school in Kansas on Monday. Contractors speculated on Tuesday that high winds were to blame.

It is believed that high winds may have caught the plastic that draped the 20-foot-tall scaffold, turning it into a sail that pulling the rig down around 5 p.m. Monday at the site of a 200-seat theater under construction.

Four of the injured workers, all employed by Dcm Masonry of Kansas City, were transported to Overland Park Regional Medical Center, where one was treated and released and the others remained in stable condition Tuesday, a spokesman said. The other two workers were transported to Research Medical Center, where a spokesman declined to supply a status report due to privacy restrictions. Three of the injured workers suffered broken bones in result of the accident.

Investigators from the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration in Wichita are searching to reasons as to why the scaffold failed and caused the accident by sifting through the tangled framework at Blue Valley North High School in south Overland Park.

“We were very fortunate. It could have been a lot worse,” said Jennifer Diaz, owner of Dcm Masonry, the project subcontractor that employs 30 workers. The project’s general contractor, Excel Constructors, reports it has been in business for 17 years without a major accident.

Classes at the 1,485-student school will not be affected, and the renovation is still scheduled to be completed by August, 2009, stated a school district official.
