Cincinnati Man Killed in Snowmobile Accident
A man who had served in Iraq was killed in a snowmobile accident in Michigan Friday.
Daniel Barhorst, 25, of Cincinnati, was traveling on a snowmobile when he lost control of the vehicle as he attempted to go around a bend near the town of Newberry, located in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Barhorst was traveling on a road that is closed to the public for the winter season.
Both Barhorst and his wife, Megan, 25, who was a passenger on the snowmobile, were thrown from the vehicle.
Daniel was killed in the accident. Megan survived.
It is not believed that alcohol was involved in the accident, said police.
