Coal Truck Driver Killed in Industrial Accident

A coal truck driver was killed in an accident at a Massey Energy mine in West Virginia.

 

William Wade, 70, was driving a loaded coal truck when he lost control of the vehicle and it overturned at Massey’s Republic Energy Surface mine.

 

The West Virginia state Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training is scheduled to release a report on the February 6th accident on Tuesday at a Board of Coal Mine Health and Safety meeting.

 

Massey, based in Richmond, Virginia, is the nations fourth-largest coal producer and has operations in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Virginia.
