Construction Worker Injured after Electrical Wire Accident
A construction worker was seriously injured when he was shocked by anelectrical wire at the Seacoast Utility Authority Thursday morning in Florida.
The worker, whose name has not been released, was being lowered by a crane into a well when he was struck, and shocked, by the electrical wire, stated a Palm Beach Gardens Fire-Rescue spokesman.
The worker was airlifted by helicopter to St. Mary’s Medical Center by Trauma Hawk after the accident, which happened at approximately 8:45 a.m., Fire-Rescue Deputy Chief C.R. Brown said. While he was being taken to the Trauma Hawk helicopter this morning, he was conscious and “was able to wave his arm,” said Seacoast spokeswoman Andrea Holmes.
The man works for contractor All Webb Enterprises, which is drilling a series of wells on the Seacoast property, which is located at 4200 Hood Road, at the intersection of Hood and Alternate A1A.
