Contract Worker Killed in Crane Accident
A judge has just released the identity of a contract worker that died after an accident at the Total refinery in Port Arthur, Texas.
Patric Whittwer, 24, of Fort Worth, was injured in a crane accident Saturday. According to the refinery manager an object may have fallen from the crane, hitting Whittwer who suffered from a severe head injury. He was transported to Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth where he was pronounced dead on Sunday.
Whittwer worked for McKinney Drilling and was a contractor at Total, according to Justice of the Peace Vi McGinnis.
Occupational Safety & Health Administration is investigating the death.
