Depew Man Seriously Injured in Bicycle Accident
A Depew man suffered serious injuries in a bicycle accident in Clarence Monday evening.
Edward Pietruszewski, 71, of Depew, was bicycling northbound on Thompson Road when he rode his bicycle into the side of a vehicle stopped at the stop sign at the intersection of Roll Road around 6:45 p.m. Monday.
Pietruszewski was taken to Erie County Medical Center where he remains in intensive care and is being treated for head and facial injuries. He is listed in serious condition.
The accident is under investigation.
It was shown at the deposition that the car hit the bicycle, not the other way around which was erroneously reported by the sherriff deputy.
