Driver Killed in Roll-Over Accident
A driver was killed in an accident when their car flipped over and collided into another vehicle on Interstate 295 in Maine near Cumberland, according to Maine State Police.
The accident happened at approximately 1:10 p.m. when a red Subaru driven by Rosalie Muce, 32, of Portland, was traveling southbound and rear-ended a southbound van driven by Larry Milligan, 55, of Buxton, according to Trooper Marvin Hinkley.
Both vehicles rolled over in the accident, which caused the van to travel into the median and the Subaru into the northbound lane of traffic, Hinkley said. Muce was ejected from the Subuaru, while Milligan was treated and released at the scene.
The accident backed up traffic for several hours as police closed down both lanes while they cleared and investigated the accident. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident, said Hinkley.
