Driver Pleads Guilty in Hit-And-Run Accident

The driver of a hit-and-run accident, which resulted in the death of a Newton woman, pled guilty Monday of fleeing the accident scene.

Andy J. Maguino, 30, of Morris Township was driving on Mount Kemble Avenue in Morristown when he struck Alice Myers on December 13, 2008. Maguino originally left the scene but voluntarily returned an hour later.

Maguino pled guilty to leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in serious bodily injury. He will be sentenced next month.
