Farmworker Killed in Tractor Accident

A worker was killed in a tractor accident at a farm in Clayton Township, Michigan.

Leonard Papiernik, 71, a longtime employee of Berry Tree Farm, was working when his tractor overturned in a dry ditch and trapped him underneath.

Papiernik was killed in the accident, which occurred in Arenac County’s Clayton Township near the village of Sterling, approximately 30 miles from Bay City, Michigan.

An autopsy is planned.
