Five Men Killed in Louisiana Boating Accident

Five men were killed in a boating accident while they were fishing in Houma, Louisiana Wednesday night.

The five men were in town for a fishing tournament when their 24-foot aluminum boat collided into a barge Wednesday night, according to Department of Wildlife and Fisheries Captain Samuel Martin. The boat wasn’t discovered until Thursday morning.

The five bodies of the men were recovered. Their identities have not been released pending family notification, said Martin.

The accident is under investigation.
