Florida Bicyclist Killed in Hit and Run

A Florida bicyclist was killed Sunday after being hit by a car that then fled the scene.

The unidentified victim was hit by a Volkswagen Jetta being driven by Carlos Bertonatti. Bertonatti fled the scene dragging the damaged bicycle several blocks before being arrested by Key Biscayne authorities.

The bicyclist was unable to survive his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are conducting an investigation into the fatal hit-and-run.
