Former Chiefs Lineman Richard Baldinger Involved in Fatal Crash

Former Chiefs lineman Richard Baldinger was driving a vehicle that was involved in a fatal two-vehicle accident an intersection in Blue Springs, Missouri Saturday afternoon.

Marilyn Walters, 61, of Grain Valley, was a passenger in a 2001 Saturn driven by Jerry L. Walters, 60, of Grain Valley traveling eastbound on U.S. 40 when they were struck broadside by a 2009 Dodge traveling northbound on Bowlin Road driven by Baldinger, 49, of Grandview.

Walters was airlifted to Centerpoint Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Baldinger was not injured in the accident.

The accident is under investigation. Charges are pending.
