Four Injured in Bus-Car Collision

At least four people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle accident involving a bus in Huntington Station.

A bus was traveling eastbound on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station when it collided with a Jeep just east of Park Avenue around 7:15 p.m. A woman, the sole occupant of the Jeep, had to be extracted from the vehicle by the Jaws of Life, used by the Huntington Manor Fire Dept.

The woman was airlifted to Stony Brook Hospital with injuries. Three passengers on the bus were transported to Huntington Hospital with minor injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
