Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy Killed in Car Accident
A sheriff’s deputy was killed in a car accident involving a tractor trailer in Greene County.
Greene County sheriff’s deputy Chad Carr was traveling on Dundee Road when his vehicle collided with a tractor trailer near the intersection with Route 230, just north of Stanardsville. Carr’s vehicle caught fire after the accident.
Carr was pronounced dead at the accident scene. The driver of the tractor trailer did not suffer any injuries.
Route 230 was closed for several hours because of the accident.
