High School Students Injured in Bus Accident

Two East Lee County High School students suffered minor injuries Tuesday afternoon in a collision involving a Lehigh Acres school bus and two passenger vehicles.

A passenger vehicle waiting to turn at the intersection of Leeland Heights Boulevard and Fifth Avenue was hit from behind by another passenger vehicle around 2 p.m. Tuesday. The school bus then ran into the second vehicle.

Two students were transported to a hospital and were released with minor injuries, said Lee County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Tony Schall.

An adult that was involved in the crash, it is unknown which vehicle they were traveling in, was also treated and released.
