Two infants escaped a rollover accident unharmed while the driver suffered injuries after a two-vehicle accident in Pearl, Mississippi Thursday morning.

A black Ford Ranger was driving northbound on Pearson Road when it collided with a white Ford Expedition that had driven into its path just before 9 a.m. Thursday. The impact of the collision caused the Expedition to overturn and land in a ditch off the roadway.

The female driver of the Expedition was taken to a local hospital. The extent of her injuries has not been released.

Two female infants traveling in the Expedition were “perfectly fine” due to the proper use of child seats, according to Pearl Police Lt. Tim Sarrett.
