Iraq Veteran Killed in ATV Roll-Over Accident

An Iraq veteran was killed when the all-terrain vehicle he was riding rolled over in an accident.

Cody Searway, 21, of Humble, Texas, was a Marine corporal that had survived a combat tour in Iraq was killed when the all-terrain vehicle he was riding rolled over as it tumbled down a dune in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area in Imperial County, the Marines announced Monday.

Searway was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

Searway was a mechanic assigned to the Marine Wing Support Squadron 371 at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Arizona.
