Leesburg Man Injured in One-Vehicle Accident
A man was injured in a one-vehicle roll-over accident on the Dulles Greenway Tuesday morning in Virginia.
Daniel F. Wiener, 63, of Leesburg was driving a 2005 Honda Pilot eastbound when he suffered a medical emergency, causing the accident. According to witnesses, the Pilot swerved to the right, striking a concrete signpost and then rolling-over.
Wiener was airlifted from the accident scene by a Medevac helicopter to INOVA Fairfax Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash was first reported at about 5:30 a.m. and closed eastbound lanes for approximately 1 1/2 hours, causing serious backups in the area of the Waxpool Road overpass.
