LeVar Burton Injured in LA Car Accident

LeVar Burton, the host of ‘Reading Rainbow” and a star in “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” was injured in a car accident in Los Angeles, California around 7:30 p.m. Monday.

Burton struck a vehicle driven by a 74-year-old woman when she attempted to make a left turn at the intersection of Laurel Ave. and Beverly Blvd. and drove in front of his vehicle. Burton struck her car and then struck a parked car, which caused a chain reaction that damanged two other vehicles.

Both Burton and the woman were transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where they were treated and released for minor injuries.
