Long Island Man Injured in ATV Accident

A Long Island man suffered injuries in an all-terrain vehicle accident Saturday, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

William J. C. Pipota, 31, of Huntington Station, was riding a 2005 Kawasaki ATV when he fell off the vehicle as he attempted to turn it around at the end of a driveway on Creek Road around 11:15 a.m. As Pipota accelerated he slid off the seat, hitting his head on the road and suffering minor injuries.

Pipota was taken to Rome Memorial Hospital.
