Man and German Tourist Killed in Crash

Two people were killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle accident involving a SUV and a RV in the Town of Porter in Niagara County Wednesday.

Edward Sloniger, 63, and Sharon Sloniger, 62, both of Youngstown, were traveling in an SUV that was struck by a camper carrying three German tourists on Ransomville Road and Youngstown Road.

Edward Sloniger was killed in the collision. Sharon Sloniger was transported to ECMC and is listed in critical condition.

The three Germans traveling in the camper were Siegmund, Leokadia, and Sebastian Deja. Leokadia Deja was killed and Sebastian, 7, was transported to the Children’s Hospital in Buffalo for treatment.

Siegmund Deja, the driver of the camper, received a ticket for running a stop sign.
