Man Arrested In Fatal Hit-And-Run Accident

A man was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident Saturday night in Madison.

Larry D. Caraway, 19, of Madison, was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle at the 4900 block of Verona Road just before 10:50 p.m. Saturday night.

The driver fled the scene but was later arrested by police and identified as Robert E. Jones, 27. Jones faces charges for failure to render aid.

Caraway was pronounced dead at the scene from major internal trauma he suffered in the collision.
