Man Critically Injured in Bicycle Accident
One man is in critical condition after a bicycle accident at a Salt Lake City intersection Tuesday morning.
The 51-year-old man was crossing the street on a bicycle at the intersection of 400 South and 200 East when he rode into a moving vehicle around 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, according to Salt Lake police spokeswoman Robin Snyder.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, was transported to the hospital in critical condition and suffered severe head trauma.
The intersection will be closed for several hours while officials investigate the accident.
