Man Drowns, Three Injured in Boating Accident
A man drowned and three people suffered critical injuries in a boating accident Friday night on the Manasquan River in New Jersey.
A group of friends were boating on the New Jersey river in a 15-foot skiff when the boat collided with a 30-foot Boston Whaler. The two boats were traveling in opposite directions so it is unknown how the collision occurred.
Kyle Tanis, 24, of Mahwah, suffered a skull fracture and internal injuries in the accident.
Four others suffered injuries, including two sisters who remain hospitalized in critical condition.
Two men traveling on the larger boat did not suffer any injuries in the accident, which is under investigation.
