Man in Critical Condition After ATV Accident

A man was hospitalized with serious injuries after an ATV accident Monday night in East Wenatchee.

Jose A. Rodriguez, 21, of East Wenatchee, was riding a 4-wheel ATV when he allegedly attempted a wheelie in the 400 block of North Perry and fell from the vehicle, slamming his head on the pavement around 7 p.m. Monday, according to Undersheriff Don Culp.

Rodriguez, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was knocked unconscious and taken to Central Washington Hospital before being transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where he is listed in critical condition.
