Man Killed, Another Injured, In Head-On Collision

A man was killed and another suffered injuries in a two-vehicle head-on collision on Highway 18 Monday evening.

Andy Enyart, 55, of Waukon, Iowa, was driving a 2000 Freightliner semi tractor trailer westbound on Highway 18 when he was struck head-on by an eastbound 1998 Chevy Camaro that had veered into the westbound lane of traffic around 7:28 p.m.

The driver of the Camero, Patrick Duffy, age 19, of Sac City, Iowa, was pronounced dead at the accident scene by the Sioux County Medical Examiner.

Enyart was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon, Iowa hospital with minor injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
