Man Killed in Canoe Accient

A man was killed in a canoe accident in Ripley Township in Morrison County, Minnesota Saturday evening.

Richard Allen Leblanc, 46, of Ripley Township, was canoeing on a private pond when the vessel capsized. Witnesses pulled Leblanc, who was not wearing a life jacket at the time and could not swim, from the pond.

Despite the attempts of witnesses and rescue personnel, Leblanc could not be revived and was pronounced dead.
