Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A man was killed in a motorcycle accident on US 6 near Ely Monday evening.

Kenneth Vetrovec, 59, from Racine, Wisconsin, was riding a 2000 Indian motorcycle eastbound on US 6 when he veered of the roadway as he rounded a curve and struck a steel road marker, causing the vehicle to overturn several times around 5:00 p.m. Monday.

Vetrovec, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, suffered fatal injuries.

It is believed that Vetrovec may have been taking pictures while riding.
