Man Killed in One-Vehicle Accident in Ohio

A man was killed in a one-vehicle accident on County Road 34 in Ohio Saturday afternoon.

Geoffrey Clapham, 73, of Carroll, was traveling northbound on County Road 34 just after noon on Saturday when the accident occurred. Clapham veered off the right side of the roadway and overcorrected his vehicle, causing him to drive off the left side of the road and overturn several times before striking a tree.

Clapham was transported to Fairfield Medical center where he was later pronounced dead due to injuries he suffered in the accident.

The Lancaster post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. It is not believed that alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
